Adding Zoom capabilities to Salesforce layouts
The Zoom Rooms Remote Management Application is an application developed to give Zoom Rooms administrators the ability to remotely manage Zoom Rooms from a web client, remotely select the speaker, microphone and camera or zoom restart room computer or Zoom Room app.
Requirements for managing Zoom Rooms remotely
If you want to control a remote speaker, microphone or camera, you can follow the instructions below:
- Account owners, admins, and their roles that have access to and can manage Zoom Rooms
- Version 3.6.x or higher of Zoom Rooms for Mac or PC/Touch is recommended
- Version 3.6x or higher of the Zoom Rooms iPad controller is required
To manage Zoom Rooms, please do the following:
- Owner, Administrator, or any other role with access to Zoom Rooms on an account that has permission to manage Zoom Rooms can manage them.
- The Zoom Rooms for Mac application must be updated to version 4.1.5 (33237.0924) or later to run
- It is recommended to use the latest version of Zoom Rooms for PC which is version 4.1.5 (33237.0925) or later.
- The Zoom Room device is set up with a kiosk mode that allows it to operate as a kiosk
How to manage Zoom Rooms remotely
Remote management for Zoom Rooms speakers, microphones or cameras
- To access your Zoom account, you must log in through the Zoom web portal.
- If you click Room Management, click Zoom Rooms, and then you can access Zoom Rooms.
- Select the Zoom room you want to manage from the list that appears on the left side of the screen.
- After that, click on the Edit button.
- Under the Room Settings tab is a Devices tab that can be found.
- Depending on your choice, you may want to use a speaker, microphone, and camera in your meeting.
Remote management for Zoom Room computers and apps
- Before you start using your Zoom Room devices, make sure they have been enabled for kiosk mode on your devices.
- By logging into the Zoom web portal and clicking the Room Management button, you can access the Zoom web portal and manage your rooms.
- You can find the Zoom Room you want to restart by clicking Zoom Rooms on the left side of the window. You need to find it and then click restart once you find it.
- By clicking the Edit button next to the Zoom Room entry, you can edit that entry.
- If you scroll down the next page, you will find the Devices heading at the bottom of the page. You can either restart Zoom Rooms by clicking Restart Zoom Rooms App or restart Zoom Rooms by clicking Restart Zoom Rooms computer to restart Zoom Rooms in this window.
- After clicking the Restart button again, you can complete the process.
