Calling SIP/H.323 devices from Zoom Rooms
You can use Zoom Rooms to make calls directly to a SIP/H.323 device over SIP/H.323. There is also an option in the Zoom Room Controller to add SIP/H.323 devices which will be added to the contact list when added to the Zoom website portal. Unlike other video conferencing solutions, Zoom Rooms allows users to talk to a SIP/H.323 device at the same time. A license is required for each SIP/H.323 device in the meeting in order for the account to run meetings with multiple SIP/H.323 devices.

Requirements for SIP/H.323 device callout from Zoom Rooms
Only one device can be called up, the room connection is not added:
- It is recommended to use Zoom Rooms for Windows version 5.1.0 or higher
- The latest version of Zoom Rooms for Mac is 5.1.0 or higher
- To use the Zoom Rooms Controller for iOS, you need version 5.1.0 or higher
- Android 5.1.0 or higher is required to use the Zoom Rooms Controller for Android

- To use Zoom Rooms on Windows you need version 5.1.0 or higher
- It is recommended to use Zoom Rooms for Mac version 5.1.0 or later
- To use the Zoom Rooms Controller for iOS you need version 5.1.0 or higher
- For Android devices running version 5.1.0 of the Zoom Rooms Controller is required
- Version 5.1.0 or higher is required to use the Zoom Rooms Controller for Windows

How to call SIP/H.323 devices from Zoom Rooms
It is possible to use a contact list to call a SIP or H.323 device, or to call it using its IP address or E.164 number.
Using the contact list
Note:
A SIP/H.323 device must be added to the Zoom web portal in order for the Zoom Room Controller to list the SIP/H.323 device in the contacts area. Room Connector is an add-on required to use the product.
- Tap the Contacts button on the Zoom Rooms controller to view your contacts
- To find the SIP/H.323 device you want to call, use the on-screen search box, and then tap the entry for the device you want to call.
- In the Meetings section, you can include SIP/H.323 devices that you have selected to start a meeting.
- So if you need to enter digits during the call to the participants, a SIP/H.323 device will be selected. Tap the device name, then tap Show Keyboard if you need to enter numbers (e.g. Meeting ID).
- It is possible to enter numbers using the keyboard on the device.
Using the device’s IP address or E.164 number
- Tap Home on the left side of the screen.
- You must tap the arrow next to New Meeting to create a new meeting.
- To make a call via SIP/H.323, tap the Call SIP/H.323 button.
- Using your IP address or E.164 number, you can tap H.323 or SIP and then Call to make a call.
- If you are in the callout process, you will need to enter digits, such as the meeting ID, during the callout process.
- You can use the keyboard to enter numbers into the system.
How to call a SIP/H.323 device while in a Zoom Rooms meeting
To call a SIP/H.323 device, you can use your contact list, the device’s IP address, or the E.164 number.
Using the contact list
Note: In order to appear in the Zoom Room Controller contact list on the Zoom web portal, the SIP/H.323 device must be added on the Zoom web portal.
- During a meeting, tap the Manage Participants button, then tap the Invite button.
- Select the Contacts tab from the menu.
- In the search box, type the SIP/H.323 device you’re looking for, and then tap the entry that matches the device you want to call.
- You can invite people by tapping the Invite button.
- To use the keyboard during the call, click Manage Participants, then select the SIP/H.323 device name, and then select Show keyboard if you need to enter digits (for example, meeting ID).
- You can enter numbers using the keyboard.
Using the device’s IP address or E.164 number
- If you’re in a meeting, select Manage Participants, and then click Invite.
- Click the SIP/H.323 tab.
- The IP address must be entered, then a choice must be made between SIP and H.323.
- You can tap on the keyboard if you need to enter digits (e.g. the meeting ID) during the call phase.
- You can enter numbers using the keyboard.
