Claim host rights in Zoom Rooms with the host key
The host key can be used when you join a meeting from a Zoom Room and need to claim the host to join the meeting. It is common to claim host privileges in the following scenarios:
- You can join a Zoom Room meeting after manually joining it. The Zoom Rooms controller can be used to join meetings by entering the meeting ID or creating a personal meeting link on the meetings page.
Note: This is only possible if the Join Before Host feature is enabled for the scheduled meeting before the meeting is scheduled to start. - It is possible to join a meeting using the meetings list in a zoom room after joining the meeting. The first Zoom Room to join a meeting becomes the meeting host when multiple Zoom Rooms join the meeting. Using the host key allows you to claim host privileges on your computer.
Note: An issue only occurs if the meeting is in a Zoom room and a feature is enabled that allows Zoom room hosts to join before the meeting host is activated.
