Cloud recording in Zoom Rooms
You can record meetings with Zoom Rooms on your computer and then upload the video and audio files to the Zoom Cloud so that once uploaded you can download and/or stream them in your browser. Immediately after the meeting, the recording can be viewed or downloaded by sending a link to the user’s email address. There is also a Zoom web portal where you can access the recording.

How to enable cloud recordings for scheduled meetings in Zoom Rooms
Activation for the entire account
- The Zoom web portal can be accessed by logging into the account.
- If you click Account Management, you can select account settings.
- The cloud recording option can be found on the Recording tab under the Recording tab.
- The setting should be enabled, so make sure it’s enabled. You should see a switch that looks like this when you click it.
- To enable the setting, click the toggle if it’s disabled. Other cloud recording settings can be selected.
- The following option can be selected (optional), if you want all users in your account to be forced to use this setting, click the lock icon and then select Block to confirm that the setting is mandatory.
Activation for a specific Zoom Room
- You can access the Zoom web portal by logging in.
- To access Zoom Rooms, click Room Management.
- In the room where the setting needs to be activated, click Edit.
- Under the Meeting tab, click the Recording tab.
- Make sure cloud recording is enabled by finding and enabling the option. It should look like this when you turn it on.
- The setting must be activated by clicking the switch. In the confirmation dialog box, click Activate.
How to enable cloud recordings for instant meetings in Zoom Rooms
- You can access the Zoom web portal by logging in.
- To access Zoom Rooms, click Room Management.
- Individual rooms or an entire account can be activated via the location hierarchy. Account settings can be activated for the entire account by clicking on the Account settings button.
- To access the Meetings tab, click on it.
- Make sure cloud recording is enabled for instant meetings in the meeting settings menu. You should see a switch like this.
- Toggle the setting if it’s disabled. In the dialog box that appears, click Activate to activate the verification process.
- It is optional to make this setting mandatory for all users in your account by clicking the lock icon and then clicking Lock to confirm that this setting will be applied to all users in your account.

How to enable automatic cloud recording for Zoom Rooms
Activation for the entire account

- You can find the Auto Record option on the Recording tab by clicking on the Recording tab.
- The setting must be enabled for it to work. You should see a switch that looks like this when you click it.
- You must click the toggle if the setting has been disabled. If you would like to apply different settings to cloud recordings, please select them from the dropdown menu.
- (Optional) To make this setting mandatory for all users in your account, click the lock icon. Once you click Ban, you can confirm that this setting will become mandatory for all users in your account.
A Zoom Room can be activated for a specific group of users
- Access the Zoom web portal by logging in.
- To access Zoom Rooms, click Room Management.
- You can enable the setting for a room by clicking Edit.
- Under the Meeting tab, click the Recording tab.
- Ensure that auto-recording is enabled by locating the Auto-recording option. It should look like this when you turn it on.
- Toggle the setting if it’s disabled. The confirmation dialog will appear. Click Activate.
How to record a Zoom Room meeting in the cloud
- You can initiate an instant meeting by tapping Home and then New Meeting, or you can start a scheduled meeting by tapping Start.
- You can start recording by tapping the Start Recording button on the Zoom Room controls:
- If you are in an instant meeting, an email address must be entered.
- In the case of a scheduled meeting, you will receive a cloud recording link when you are in a scheduled meeting because the email address of the meeting host is sent to you.
- When you want to stop recording, tap Stop Recording. If you want to stop recording, leave the meeting and tap End meeting for everyone.

- You can access the Zoom web portal by logging in.
- Then, under Account Management, click Recording Management.
- View the recording files by clicking the meeting topic. You can also manage recordings on this page.
Note: The recording is displayed with the Recording being processed… icon in the list of recordings if the recording is still being converted. Processing must be completed before the recording can be accessed.
