Manage OnZoom recordings for hosts
OnZoom’s cloud recording service can be integrated free of charge as part of your OnZoom event ticket registration product, allowing registrants to view the event they have registered for at their convenience, even if they were not present at the event. This allows registrants to view the event at their convenience, even if they weren’t at the event. By registering a ticket, you can book such an additional benefit.
When event recordings are available as a complimentary benefit of ticket registration, the following benefits are realized:
- Once the event starts, the recording will start automatically once the event starts. This will ensure that the event recording takes place even if either you or an alternate host forget to start the event recording.
Note: You must manually start recording an event if your event does not include access to event recordings when registering for your ticket. - You can make this recording freely available for 7 days after the event to all registered people – both those who attended and those who missed it – after it has been made available to you.
Note: The Zoom web client does not allow the user to download, edit, delete or share created recordings.
Once the event is complete, the recording is automatically posted so you don’t have to manually upload it after the event.

How to view recording options
Event registrations allow registrants to view the recording if the recording was offered with ticket registration when the event was created and you included free access to it.
How to manage recordings
Note: Hosts that start recording a session and then stop and start it more than once associate the longest recorded file with the recording session when they end the session. Because the recorded session is made available to attendees, if there are multiple recordings for the session, the longest recording is made available to attendees.

frequently asked Questions
How do I change the zoom recording settings?
It is possible to change the local recording settings when using the Zoom desktop client by opening by clicking on the Settings button found when the Zoom desktop client starts up. When you’re ready to start recording, click the Recording tab on the left side of the screen. If you click on it, you can open a window where you can change the recording options.
Where does the Zoom recording go when the host leaves?
Regardless of who starts the recording, the recording will be sent to the person whose Zoom link was originally set up, regardless of who starts it. When you set up the meeting (that is, your Zoom link), you can record the meeting, and at the end of the meeting, your recording will appear on your Zoom profile, regardless of who is recording the meeting (you or the hosts).
As a host, why can’t I record on Zoom?
During Zoom meetings, you can only use the recording feature if your host has given you permission to do so. If you do not have permission to record, the record button will not appear on your screen. Typically, recording a session begins by asking the host for permission to record it.
What happens if you end a Zoom meeting without stopping the recording?
There’s also a chance that when the meeting ends, Zoom will still render the recording and send you an email even if you haven’t finished the recording. In this case, however, you will not see the message that the recording has been rendered.
Can the host pick me up on Zoom without permission?
Additionally, all participants have the option to unmute themselves if they can’t hear each other because the host doesn’t make the feature available at the time of the meeting. It is not possible for the host to edit another participant’s profile unless he or she has agreed to unmute them to protect the privacy or safety of the other participant.
