Sending animated GIFs using GIPHY in the Zoom app

GIPHY gives you the power to find and send GIFs without leaving the Zoom chat window. Besides searching for GIFs with the keyword you want to use in your chat, you can also click on the GIF you want to share.

Note:

If the account owner or administrator restricts the content rating of your GIPHY content, your content may not be visible to users.

Requirements for sending GIFs in Zoom Chat

• Desktop client for Zoom
  • Version 5.3.0 or later is required for Windows
  • macOS requires version 5.3.0 or higher
  • Linux: Version 5.3.0 or higher
• The Zoom mobile app
  • Android requires version 5.3.0 or higher
  • iOS requires version 5.3.0 or later
• You can search and send animated GIF images if the account owner or admin has enabled this feature in your Zoom Chat account settings

Note:

GIPHY’s advanced chat encryption feature prevents you from sending animated GIFs.

Find and send animated GIFs with GIPHY

• Sign in to your account using the Zoom desktop client.
• Click on one of the chat threads to select it.
• At the bottom right of the chat window is a clickable smiley face icon.
• You can see a GIF by clicking on it.
• Search for GIF images by typing a word in the search box at the top of the page.
  A maximum of six GIFs will be displayed.

• You can send a GIF image by clicking on it.
  You can see the GIF in your chat window once you click on it.
• Click the Remove GIF From Chat Window button if you want to remove a GIF image from the chat window (before sending it).
• The GIF image should be sent along with your chat message.
• If you want, you can add the GIF image to your favorite emojis after sending it by hovering your mouse near it and clicking on the ellipses.

• Sign in to Zoom on your mobile device.
• Click on one of the chat threads.
• Tap the smiley face just below the chat window.
• Choose GIF.
• You can search for a GIF image by typing a word in the search box.
  A maximum of six GIFs will be displayed.

• You can send a GIF by tapping it.
  Your chat window will display the GIF.
• You can remove GIF images before sending them by tapping the button on the GIF image (optional).
• Paste the GIF image into your chat message.
• You can add the GIF to your favorite emojis by tapping the ellipses after sending the picture.

Here’s how to access your favorite emojis

Send GIFs previously saved to your favorites quickly and easily with your favorite emojis.

1. You can sign in to Zoom using either the desktop client or the mobile app.
2. Choose a chat thread.
3. To create a smiley face, just click or tap the icon.
4. A list of saved GIFs can be accessed by clicking or tapping on the heart icon.
