Setting the cancellation policy for Zoom events

You can set the default cancellation policy for Zoom events in the cancellation policy section of your hub.

Note: When creating an event, you can also change the cancellation policy.

Requirements for setting cancellation policies for Zoom events

  • Zoom desktop client
    • Windows: 5.7.6 or higher
    • Mac OS: 5.7.6 or later
  • Mobile Zoom client
    • iOS: 5.7.6 or later
    • Android: 5.7.6 or higher
  • Pro, Business, Enterprise or Education account
  • Stripe or PayPal business account is required to create paid events
  • Zoom Events License

Remarks:

  • Hosts may experience an empty lobby experience when using version 5.7.6 of the Windows Webview package for the Windows platform.
  • The Zoom desktop client/mobile application must be updated to access the latest Zoom events and webinar features.

How to set the cancellation policy for events

  1. Sign up for Zoom Events.
  2. Select Manage.
  3. Select the hub you want to manage from the hub drop-down menu in the left navigation menu.
  4. To manage the cancellation policy for the hub, click Cancellation Policy.
  5. Set your cancellation policy for single and drop-in tickets as follows:
    • Your event page will reflect your chosen refund policy
      • A full refund can be requested for attendees who cancel their tickets/drop-in tickets 1 hour before the start of the event
      • Tickets cannot be cancelled. Refunds can be requested later by participants.
    • Partial Refund Policy:
      • Some tickets of the total order can be refunded or canceled by the participants
  6. Ticket cancellation conditions are defined in the Series Tickets section:
    • Your event page will display the following refund policy:
      • The series ticket can be fully refunded one hour before the start of the event
      • It is not possible to cancel tickets. A refund can be requested by participants after the event.
    • Partial Refund Policy:
      • Some tickets of the total order can be canceled or refunded by the participants
  7. Then click Save.
