Setting up notifications in the OnZoom Notification Center

As part of the OnZoom Notification Center, OnZoom notifies you via email or push notification of activity related to your events and tickets. You can update your notification settings at any time in the notification center if you wish.

Requirements for notifications in the OnZoom Notification Center

  • Desktop client for Zoom
    • Windows: Version 5.6.3 or higher
    • It is recommended to use macOS version 5.6.3 or higher
  • You can choose to become a Pro, Business, Enterprise, or Education member

How to distinguish notification settings (email or push notifications)

Such activities may be communicated to you via email and/or push notifications.

Receive host-related notifications

It is possible that you will receive notifications about your host if:

  • Attendees have requested a refund for their tickets
  • My event tickets for one of my upcoming events are about to sell out
  • I update my events regularly
  • There are active updates on a fundraiser for my event that I am organizing

Receive attendee-related notifications

Attendee-related notifications may be sent to you in the following situations:

  • I’ve received updates on the events I’ve registered for
  • It’s been a while since I rated an event I attended
  • In relation to an event I attended, there is news of an ongoing fundraiser
  • I can access recordings of events I’ve attended in the past
  • There is an update on one of my favorite events that interests me
  • The situation regarding gift tickets has been updated
  • My active subscriptions are updated and reminded that they are active
  • It is possible to receive invitations to events as well as tickets to special events
  • It’s been a while since I’ve attended an event and there’s some news
  • There is a survey that needs to be filled out for me at the event
  • I’m an alternate host or panelist at an event that has news about my attendance at the event
  • My registration for an event I signed up for is 24 hours away

Receive system notifications

Various notifications may be sent to you when:

  • There have been a number of OnZoom announcements and updates recently

How to manage the notification center

It is possible to view all notifications sent to you through the notification center. The red dot in your profile picture indicates that you have a notification of one of the notification types that are enabled for you, based on the type of notification you wish to receive.

View your notifications

Open the notification center to see your notifications:

  1. Sign in to your OnZoom account.
  2. You can access your profile picture by clicking on it.
  3. Click the Notifications tab.
    You can now see your notifications in the notification center.

Manage your notifications

You can manage your notifications in the following ways:

  1. Please log in to OnZoom.
  2. You can access your profile picture by clicking on it.
  3. Click the Notifications tab.
  4. To the right of the notification are ellipses you can click to manage your notification:
    • Mark as read: This will change the notification status from unread to read.
    • Delete this notification: In the notification center, this notification is removed from the list of notifications.
    • Unsubscribe from this host: You will no longer receive any notifications from this host.
  5. In the notification center you will find an option to change the notification status of all messages to be read by clicking the Mark all as read button at the top of the page.
  6. If you want to clear all read notifications in Notification Center, click the Clear All Read button at the top of the page.

Set your notification options

Here’s how you can choose the types of notifications you want to receive and how you want to receive them:

  1. Please log in to OnZoom.
  2. You can access your profile picture by clicking on it.
  3. Click the Notifications tab.
  4. Go to the Settings page by clicking on it.
    The Notification Settings window appears.
  5. Check the boxes next to the types of notifications you want to receive in the OnZoom and/or Email columns.
  6. (Optional) If you don’t want to receive notifications from these types, uncheck the boxes next to them.
  7. Please click the Save button to save your changes.

Unsubscribe from notifications from a specific host

Unsubscribing from notifications from a specific host can be done as follows:

  1. You need to sign up for OnZoom.
  2. Click on the picture representing your profile.
  3. Click the Notifications tab.
  4. Click the ellipsis to the left of a notification you want to block from the host, and then locate the notification you want to block.
  5. Unsubscribe from this host by clicking the Unsubscribe button.

Unsubscribe from notifications from a specific host using the unsubscribe link

The unsubscribe link in a specific host’s email notification allows you to unsubscribe from notifications from that host.

  1. Sign in to your email account or open your email application to check your email.
  2. You will receive an email notification from OnZoom. please open it
  3. Click Unsubscribe From [Host’s name] Link at the bottom of the email to unsubscribe from the newsletter.

Resubscribe to notifications from a specific host

You can resubscribe to notifications from a specific host by following the steps below:

  1. You need to sign up for OnZoom to get started.
  2. If you are logged in, click on your profile picture.
  3. Click the Notifications button.
  4. Then click Settings.
  5. Find the name of the host you want to resubscribe from under Hosts I’ve unsubscribed from, and then click the * icon to the right of the name next to the host you want to resubscribe to.
  6. To resubscribe to this host, click the Resubscribe button.
    You can no longer see the name of the host in the list of hosts you have logged off from.
  7. Save the file by clicking the Save button.
