Setting up notifications in the Zoom Events Notification Center
When Zoom Events receives activity related to events and tickets in the Zoom Events Notification Center, you will be notified via email or push notification.
If you’re a host or attendee of an event, you can receive notifications about your hub-related role. Your notification settings can be updated at any time in the notification center.

Requirements for notifications in the Zoom Events Notification Center
host
- Desktop client for Zoom
- Version 5.7.6 or higher for Windows
- Version 5.7.6 or higher for MacOS
- Mobile Zoom client
- The iOS version must be 5.7.6 or higher
- Android version must be 5.7.6 or higher
- Account type: Pro, Business, Enterprise or Education
- To create paid events, you need a PayPal Business or Stripe account
- License for Zoom Events
Participant
- Zoom Desktop Client:
- Windows: 5.7.6 or higher
- Mac OS: 5.7.6 or later
- Mobile Zoom client
- iOS: 5.7.6 or later
- Android: 5.7.6 or higher
- Simple user
Remarks:
- Despite the fact that Zoom Events version 5.7.6 is supported by Windows’ Webview package, it is still possible for hosts to get an empty lobby experience in case of a dependency.
- We encourage all hosts and attendees to update to the latest version of the Zoom desktop/mobile client or the Zoom application to take advantage of the latest Zoom events and webinar features.
How to distinguish notification settings (email or push notifications)
These types of activities may be communicated to you via email and/or push notifications.
Receive hub-related notifications
Notifications about hubs can be received when:
- There was a publication of an event
- The hub is updated with new users or old ones are removed
- The hub profile has been updated or a hub has been published
Receive attendee-related notifications
Notifications about participants can be sent when:
- Gifted tickets have been updated
- My favorite events have been updated
- I attended a fundraiser that has news
- Special tickets and invitations to events are available
- As an alternate host or panelist at an event, there are updates
- Event recordings are available from events I’ve attended
- I need to take a survey about the event
- My registered events have been updated
- I attended an event that was updated
- My registration for an event is 24 hours away
Receive host-related notifications
Notifications about hosts can be received when:
- I have active updates for a fundraiser I’m running
- It doesn’t take long for one of my events to sell out
- A participant submits a ticket refund request
- The events I host are updated

How to manage the notification center
Notifications are displayed in the notification center. Your profile picture will show a red dot if you have a notification associated with any of the types of notifications you can receive.
View your notifications
Your notifications can be viewed here:
- Zoom Events can be accessed by logging in.
- You can access your profile picture by clicking on it.
- Go to Notifications and click on it.
Your notifications will appear in the notification center.
Manage your notifications
You can customize your notifications by following these steps:
- Zoom Events can be accessed by logging in.
- To edit your profile picture, click on it.
- You can access notifications by clicking Notifications.
- To view notifications for participants, hosts, hubs, and systems, click the Notifications tab.
- The ellipses next to each notification let you manage your notifications:
- Mark as read: The notification status of this message will be changed to read.
- Delete this notification: Unsubscribe from this notification.
- Log out from this host:
- This host will no longer send you notifications.
- You can change all messages to “Read” in the notification status of the notification center by clicking “Mark all as read” at the top of the page.
- You can clear all read notifications from Notification Center by clicking Clear all read at the top of the page.
Set your notification options
The following steps will guide you through choosing the types of notifications and how you would like to receive them:
- You can access Zoom Events by logging in.
- The profile picture can be accessed by clicking on it.
- You can find notifications by clicking on Notifications.
- Go to settings.
A notification settings window will appear. - You can choose which notifications you want to receive in the Zoom Events and/or Email columns.
- If you no longer wish to receive notifications, uncheck the boxes next to them.
- Save the changes.
Unsubscribe from notifications from a specific host.
Here’s how easy it is to unsubscribe from a specific hub:
- Zoom Events can be accessed by logging in.
- The profile picture can be accessed by clicking on it.
- You can access notifications by clicking Notifications.
- Select participants under Notifications.
- Click the ellipses to the right of the notification you want to unsubscribe from, and then locate the notification from the host you want to unsubscribe from.
- This host can be unsubscribed by clicking Unsubscribe.
Unsubscribe from notifications from a specific host using the unsubscribe link
The unsubscribe link in the notification email allows you to unsubscribe from notifications from a specific host:
- Open your email application or log into your email account.
- Zoom Events will send you an email notification.
- You can unsubscribe [Host’s name] by clicking the link at the bottom of the email.
Resubscribe to notifications from a specific host.
Adding a new host to the list of hosts to receive notifications from would look like this:
- Attend Zoom events by logging in with your Zoom account.
- To edit your profile picture, click on the picture in your profile.
- Click the Notifications tab.
- Click the Settings button.
- Find the host whose name you want to resubscribe to under Hosts I’ve unsubscribed from, and then click the icon to the right of the name of the host you want to resubscribe to.
- To subscribe to this host again, just click the Resubscribe button.
In the Hosts I’ve unsubscribed from section, you can no longer see the host’s name. - Save the file by clicking the Save button.
