Start or join meetings with Zoom Rooms for Touch

There is a list of all meetings scheduled in the room, which can be found on the home screen in Zoom Rooms for Touch. There is a START button next to each Zoom meeting in the meetings list if the meetings list contains Zoom meetings, so you can start a Zoom meeting immediately. If you’re outside the Zoom room, you can also join a meeting that’s already started or start your own instant meeting.

Requirements to start or join meetings with Zoom Rooms for Touch

  • You need Zoom Rooms for Windows with version 5.3.0 or higher installed.
  • The operating system Windows 8.1 or higher is required
  • Touch drivers must be installed on the computer
  • Multi-monitor setup or a single touchscreen monitor

or

  • Devices compatible with the Zoom Room Appliance

How to start a scheduled meeting in Zoom Rooms for Touch

The scheduled meetings for a Zoom Room linked to a calendar resource will appear on screen when that Zoom Room is linked to that calendar resource. It’s easy to start a Zoom meeting by tapping the START button if the meeting was scheduled as a Zoom meeting.

How to start an instant meeting or call a SIP/H.323 room in Zoom Rooms for Touch

On the app home screen, tap New Meeting. Once the Zoom web portal is launched, the meeting will begin with the settings configured for the room on the Zoom web portal.

A meeting with a SIP/H.323 room can be started as follows:

  1. To create a new meeting, tap the down arrow next to New Meeting.
  2. You can call H.323/SIP by tapping the Call H.323/SIP button.
  3. Tap the Call button after entering the IP address or E.164 number.

How to join a meeting in Zoom Rooms for Touch

It is possible to join an ongoing meeting from your Zoom Rooms for Touch as long as you know the meeting ID.

  1. The first thing you need to do is tap Join on the home screen. A keyboard appears on the screen.
  2. You must enter the meeting ID of the meeting you wish to join.
  3. Click the Join Meeting button. The meeting controls are available to you once you have logged into the meeting.
