UCSB students use the Zoom platform to boost a student-run business

Gaucho Creative (GC) team members know they are part of something special when it comes to Gaucho Creative. There is a student-run marketing consulting group on the University of Texas at Austin campus called Gaucho Creative. Gaucho Creative specializes in marketing and advertising services. Not only did Zoom become Gaucho Creative’s preferred meeting and collaboration software, but it also became a real-world customer because students were given the opportunity to collaborate with companies, startups, and nonprofits in their real world.

Zoom: a platform to connect

It should be noted that as part of Zoom’s partnership with GC, the company has been involved in a variety of projects, including the redesign of its website, market research, surveys, as well as recommendations for features that were applicable both inside and outside the classroom, including the features of Zoom. With Zoom Team Chat, students would be able to seamlessly collaborate between applications regardless of their location, allowing for file sharing, client check-in and gathering feedback, and scheduling and joining team meetings.

Having already installed the Zoom client, Zoom Team Chat allowed us to add contacts and chat external instead of having to create it entirely new Workspaces every time we wanted to communicate,” Katarina explained. Compared to some other tools she tried (Slack or Microsoft Teams), she found Zoom Team Chat to be much more effective in communicating with customers, especially in terms of the ability to easily add external contacts.

Additionally, by using Team, Gaucho Creative employees were able to communicate with each other much more efficiently Chat as email and so reduce Customer feedback time from three days to nine hours.
