Use of a waiting room with Zoom Rooms
The Waiting Room feature allows a host to control when attendees join a meeting, allowing them to control when they join. When hosting a meeting, you have the option to admit participants individually or all at once.
Requirements for using a waiting room with Zoom Rooms
- Zoom Rooms version 5.0.5 or later
- Waiting room activated in the Zoom web portal

How to enable or disable the waiting room during a Zoom Rooms meeting
- It is the responsibility of the meeting host to manage the meeting attendees.
- On the Attendees panel, tap the More tab and select Bring attendees to the waiting room on entry to enable the feature.
- The feature can be disabled by tapping More again and then selecting Disable Waiting Room to turn it off.
How to admit participants during a Zoom Rooms meeting
- It is the host’s responsibility to manage the meeting attendees.
- In order for the participant to join the meeting, they must tap the “Allow” button.
How to admit everyone from the waiting room during a Zoom Rooms meeting
- As a meeting host, tap Manage Participants to manage the meeting participants.
- Click the Allow All button.
How to send attendees to the waiting room during a Zoom Rooms meeting
- Tap Manage Participants if you are the meeting host.
- After selecting the attendee’s name, you need to tap the Put in Waiting Room button.
