Using multiple monitors with Zoom Rooms for Touch
A Zoom Rooms for Touch setup allows up to two regular monitors and one touchscreen monitor to be used together as one. Zoom Rooms for Touch also works with dual monitor setups. Zoom Room controls are displayed on the touchscreen monitors (e.g. the controls that control a Zoom meeting, the controls that control whiteboard annotation) while participants’ videos are displayed on the regular monitors.
Note: The touch-based displays always show screen shares when the secondary or tertiary monitor is not touch-based.
Requirements for using multiple monitors with Zoom Rooms for Touch
- 5.3.0 or later version of Zoom Rooms for Conference Room for PC is required.
- A Windows operating system with multiple monitors (at least one of them should be a touchscreen monitor).
- In order to be able to use Zoom Rooms with the desired number of monitors, the Windows PC must meet all system requirements.
- Version 4.6.4 (50000.0407) or later is required to use Zoom Rooms Appliances.
- Some Zoom Rooms appliances are unable to support multiple displays; Check the appliance vendor’s documentation to find out how many displays are supported.
How to set up Zoom Rooms for Touch with multiple monitors
- For a conference room, you need to register with Zoom Rooms.
A message will appear on every monitor in Zoom Rooms.
Note: Zoom Rooms can’t detect a touchscreen monitor if you don’t see this message. Make sure you have the correct drivers installed for your touchscreen monitor before using it. Also, you should check if it needs to be connected to your PC via a secondary cable. To use the touchscreen monitor, the touchscreen monitor must be connected to a USB port and a video port (e.g. HDMI, VGA, etc.).
- When on the touchscreen monitor, select Use This as the Touchscreen Display.
Zoom Room controls appear on the touchscreen monitor while the Zoom Room wallpaper appears on the regular monitor(s). - Whiteboards and meeting controls are displayed on the touchscreen monitor in a meeting, while participants’ videos are displayed on the regular monitor.

How to change the monitor used as a touchscreen
Zoom Rooms misidentifies the touchscreen monitor and you will need to change it if Zoom Rooms does not recognize it correctly.
