Zoom Meeting cannot be started from Google Chrome – why

The Zoom client is launched via the Google Chrome “Launch Application” Zoom Launcher Plugin. [ Such an operation every time check for when you select the option, there is a possibility that you select does nothing]. Therefore, nothing is launched even if a zoom launch request is made.

Follow the steps below to unlock this setting and launch the application.

1. Quit Google Chrome completely.
2. Open File Explorer and navigate to C:Users [Users] AppDataLocalGoogleChromeUser DataDefault.
3. Open Notepad or another text editor and drag the “Preferences” file onto Notepad (text editor) to open it.
4. Search for “zoommtg” and remove that string – this search is done in protocol_handler > Excluded_schemes.
5. Save and close the file.
6. Restart the Zoom meeting.

Mac

1. Quit Google Chrome completely.
2. Click Go to Folder in the top left corner of the desktop.
3. Search for ~/Library.
4. Go to ~//Library > Application Support > Google > Chrome > Standard.
5. Open the Preferences file in Mac TextEdit or another text editor.
6. Search for “zoommtg” and delete this string. -This search is done in protocol_handler > Excluded_Schemes.

1. Save and close the file.
2. Restart the Zoom meeting.
